Bolt

Uh... it was TERRIBLE.

Contrast to what some people might say, Bolt was ginormously horrible. It was a nice try for Disney, but throughout the movie, I was always waiting for something else to happen.

Anyway...

Story: Unsatisfying, un-new (old) - it resembled the masterpiece Toy Story. This isn't, though. The character (dog) Bolt, was made - all his life - to believe that he was supernatural - a superhero - just like Toy Story's Buzz Lightyear. And just like Buzz, Bolt's bubble was burst by the other lead. Tsk, tsk.

Characters: Great constructions - Bolt was OK for most parts. And the cat was charismatic. Penny was a typical human. Her agent was a pain in the ass (predictable.) BUT RHINO THE HAMSTER WAS SO 'EFFIN AWESOME! ZZZOMG. He was the life of the movie... for me. I wouldn't have watched if it wasn't for him... and if I had other choices.

Graphics - no notice-able developments.

Voices - John Travolta was great, along with the other voices, byt I though Miley Cyrus' voice didn't suit Penny.

Anyway, over-all rating: 0.5. Kids might enjoy it (I know Ger would.) My generation would probably hate it, and MOST will be disappointed.

Advice: Don't watch, it ain't worth it, honestly. It is an apparent waste of time and money.

BACK FROM TAGAYTAY

Hey. Just telling YOU about my/our trip to Tagaytay. We stayed at that not ultimately crappy but utensil-scarce inn, HOTEL KIMBERLY! I'm almost reviewing my experiences there.

THE ROOMS:
WHAT WAS OK:
  • the beds
  • the TV sets; Samsung flats, equipped with awesome DVD players
  • the air-conditioning
  • the ref had freezers
WHAT WASN'T (CRAP):
  • the abaka-esque sheets
  • the fact that there was NO cable
  • the craftsmanship of the doors
  • the fact that the room was not carpeted
  • the toilets had weak water
  • lighting
  • the freezers were too small
  • no complimentary fruits/coffee
  • no glasses for drinking

THE FOOD: We only ate breakfast but still
WHAT WAS OK:
  • variety of food on the menu
WHAT WASN'T OK (CRAP):
  • limited stock of food
  • toast cost P25.00 ($0.60 US) per HALF a friggin' slice of 6"x6" bread
  • inattentive waitresses
  • too small tables
  • place mats were laminated paper
  • scarcity of proper table napkins
  • Tapa was horibbly hard to eat
THE POOL & "LAGOON":
WHAT WAS OK:
  • pools were clean and free of leaves
  • my sister didn't drown
WHAT WASN'T OK (CRAP):
  • the pool wasn't heated despite the terribly cold weather
  • the pool was too small
  • the "lagoon" looked as if there were crocodiles living in it
  • the "lagoon" virtually had no use

Other than the hotel, we went to Sonya's Garden and the regularly visited and fabulous Cliffhouse. It was awesomely awesome! I gotta tell you, Buon Giorno is one of my favourite restaurants. Believe me, the food is great, the views and the ambiance are perfect and relaxing. Go on, go there... NOW.
